Duos for the week of April 25 to April 30

This week at Duos:
Salads.  We just feel it is time.

Local(being picked as this is being written) Greens, Capriole Goat Cheese, Grated beet and carrot.  Finished with pecans and this super tasty dressing we can't get enough of.

Japanese Pasta Salad with local asparagus, organic tofu and carrot, scallions, red pepper , titch of cilantro and a sparkly carrot vinaigrette

Grilled Chicken salad sandwich with creamy dijon vinaigrette, tomato and local spinach

Root Vegetable Bisque(one of our personal favorites)

Big Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Look for more beautiful local produce as the season is finally upon us.  We have enjoyed learning and procuring new growers and vendors with hopes of serving the highest quality for a street food price.

Duos will be at several special event coming up:  Sun King this Thurs evening, Arsenal Tech High School this Sat from 12-2 celebrating many community events, First Friday at the Harrison(with our good friends:  The Natural Born Juicers on board with us that night!) and Sat. May 7th, Indy Cog at the City Market for 2 Wheels, 1 City.  That is just the tip of the iceberg!

Everyday we are out on the streets is a good day because we feel supported by all of you.

Life.  It is nice to share it with you good folks.

Duos for the week of April 11 to April 16

We feel the love.  The love of our customers, the love of a brilliant Indiana Spring that has finally arrived like a good cup of coffee:  satisfying, stimulating and greatly needed.  We are thrilled that the Indiana earth is giving way to some lovely early crops:  tender lettuces, radishes, ramps(yes, we have been obsessed!).  The Indiana Morel Message Board bloggers say they  have found morels...we have not.  It's early.

This week, we might try a new location.  You will know by our Tweets and Calender.  Just sayin...might.

We go pick sorrel this morn for our Potato Sorrel and Greens Soup.  Very excited about our sandwiches this week:  A Primavera:  Grated fennel, carrot, organic greens, avocado, lime, chives and...honey.  Gunthrop Farm Curried Chicken that John is making into awesome salad sandwiches.  French fries beg to be made.  Bean and yellow rice salad.  Plenty of choices from our little menu.  Plenty for all our friends.

We love  being out there.  We love seeing all of you, serving you and hopefully, we are widening the culinary landscape of this little city we love.

Until we meet on the street,

Duos for the week of April 4 to April 9

Oh yes, it is April.  Morel mushroom season, ramps, first asparagus.  Rain.  Rain on Monday is fine, just leave before the Duos trailer hits the streets on Wednesday.

We have a beautiful pork quesadilla on the menu this week.  The pork is from Gunthrop Farms, slow roasted, tossed in a tomatillo salsa and melded with grilled onions, peppers with fresh cilantro and Heartland Farms arugula finish.  The vegetarian option is our goat cheese, mustard green and potato quesadilla, with vegan choice always on board.  We have a nice little black bean salad  with the quesadillas and maybe, just maybe, a little carrot pickle.  Tortilla Soup.  Love it!  Cappuccino Thin Cookies.

At the Saturday Indy Winter Farmers Market, we will be there in the trailer gleefully serving the Schacht Farm eggs, Ironweed Farm ramps and Capriole goat cheese on grilled bread.  We will also feature our Tempeh Biscuits and Gravy, Tofu Scramble with grilled potatoes.

Keep an eye on our calender for we have some fun events coming up.  Flat 12 Bierwerks, Arsenal Tech Legacy Challenge for starters.

With gratitude and excitement for the good things to come,

The Duos Trio
