We just got the most fantastic, devilish, perfect corn in today! So look for its happy appearance in soup and some other little things we are experimenting with this week.

Chanterelle mushroom season is coming to a close, so if you are a lover of the locally foraged delicate fungi, then please stop in and enjoy the bounty of the wild season.By locally I mean hunted by us personally! Can you imagine traipsing up and down hills in Indiana forests deep mid July? The results are worth the effort.

Oh, Summer. You are so kind and so cruel at the same time. The heat is a force to be reckoned with but it lures us out on wispy evenings for a chilly glass of Rose in the backyard and the beautiful face of Indiana agriculture is bountifully before us. We currently have produce and locally grown and baked from approximately 10 vendors and farmers: cantaloupe, green beans, wax beans, tomatoes, squashes, eggplant, chanterelle mushrooms(foraged by yours truly!), blueberries, peaches, eggs, chicken, beef, and pure maple syrup are just some of the goods we are procuring for your dining pleasure.

Good Day Everyone:

We have a shorter week with the Fourth of July Holiday with Duos Mobile and the Kitchen closed the 4th and 5th.  But, fear not, the menu is sweet, the produce is arriving from a myriad of good Indiana Farmers, we have Food Con July 5th at the Harrison! 

Our truck made its return to White River State Park and the Art Bank last week.  Feels like home.  One of the trickier aspects of the mobile food business is finding locations that create a sense of community, serve the most folks, is thoughtful about brick and mortar establishments, and is viable for us.  We are also part of an alliance of food trucks(IFTA) that calls us out to distant locations from time to time.  Weather is either our constant friend or evil foe.

Do come out and enjoy breakfast at Duos Kitchen sometime soon.  This coming week, we are testing Tempeh Biscuits and Gravy one of the Hostetter family favorites.  It is pushing the envelope a bit, but, what those are some of the benefits creative license afford us.
