Good Day Friends:

We're feeling excited about our return to the streets.  The elation will only multiply with some amicable weather and sun.

Reminder to pay us a visit (and all the other fantastic vendors) at the Indy Winter Farmers Market on Saturdays through the month of April.  We will be serving our Fragrant Eggs and Rice with Minted Tomato Sauce just a couple of weeks, for then we enter fantastic RAMP season!  Ramps are wild leeks that are found on our very good friends farm in Bloomington.  We use them in anything we can, but for the IWFM, we will make a beautiful Egg, Goat Cheese and Ramp Sandwich.  The season for ramps is swift and rewarding, so get to the market and look for Ironweed Farms in another week or so, make yourselves very happy!

So, Duos Mobile is back out after our good month of truck rest in the bleak midwinter.  We will not be at all of our usual spots quite yet (Dear friends at Wishard, please bear with us until the following week) due to event obligations. For our great patrons of Duos Kitchen, we have another parking option! You can park in the church parking lot on the west side of Illinois street right after 29th and Illinois.  There is ample parking!

Okay Gang, almost there!  Sun is returning very shortly and our long gray days are diminishing.

We are planning on having our nice sandwich station up and running this week.  We will be roasting beef and turkey, adding a number of new and exciting sandwiches that we know you will love!  So, we are shooting for a mid week kick off.  Hot items will be selected from the window that you have always gone to and the Sandwich Station will be the first area as you enter the Kitchen(where we serve breakfast).

Duos Mobile will be back out on the street in March.  March 1st, we will be happily situated at the Harrison Center (1505 N. Delaware) for First Friday. Serving dinner from 6-8pm.

Menu for week of February 18

Hi Friends:

We are going to continue with our menu of last week with a few substitutions and daily specials.   A couple of weeks, add and subtract a bit, don't over stress the kitchen crew with too many changes. If you ever want to request a dish, or yearn for something that you might have enjoyed last year, please, don't hesitate to share that with us! Often, we forget about a dish and your recollection and requests are mighty handy.

Folks might notice us playing with our new sandwich station next week.  There will be a bit of experimenting as we create sandwiches that we hope please and challenge the palate as well as offer some grounded and familiar standards.  We will be roasting beef and turkey in house, revisiting our Roasted Eggplant Sandwich with tomato Chutney.

Menu for week of February 11

Hello True Believers:

With the ebbing of our grey days and the daylight prevailing just a tiny bit more each evening, we are happy to create the warm and comforting (hopefully stimulating, thought-provoking) foods that are commendable winter dishes. We are experimenting in the Kitchen with new dishes every day, and we are working on our plan to create a sandwich station separated from our entree area with more choices and some crazy fun combinations. Look for a few test items in the coming weeks as we prepare for the switch.

If you have not ventured out on a Saturday to our Indy Winter Farmers Market at the Original City Market, we highly encourage you to do so. It is a wonderful way to experience a Saturday, surrounded by good food, farmers, juicers, potters and your neighbors. It is a great outing to share with your entire family and it may be so rewarding that it becomes a tradition. Duos will be there selling our highly regarded Leblebi (Tunisian Breakfast Stew). 

Still getting some nice local product: Spicy Salad Greens, Arugula, Radishes and of course our Hamburger and eggs are always from Fischer Farms and our bacon is from Smoking Goose.
